Privacy at TypingBenchmark

TypingBenchmark scores typing in your browser. This notice separates locally saved practice summaries from optional third-party analytics and advertising integrations.

Typing activity and local storage

The benchmark processes accepted characters locally to calculate a result and error profile. Raw event traces and passage responses are discarded when the run is summarized. Bounded result and practice summaries may be saved in this browser’s local storage; clearing site data removes them. The site cannot recover cleared data.

Analytics and advertising

If NEXT_PUBLIC_GA_ID is configured in a deployed build, Google Analytics loads for ordinary site analytics. If NEXT_PUBLIC_ADSENSE_CLIENT is configured, Google AdSense may load advertising. These scripts are independent of benchmark scoring and may receive data under their own providers’ terms. Refer to Google’s current notices for their processing details.

Benchmark uploads

No benchmark event collection or population comparison endpoint is enabled by this implementation. The future architecture proposes a separate, optional consent step and summary-only upload. Do not infer that planned opt-in collection exists today.

Your choices

You can use free tests without creating an account. You can clear local results in the practice area and choose not to use a test. Browser or network controls can block third-party scripts; the core local typing flow is designed to remain usable.
